30 may

This morning Jen got up after feeding Brooke and walked the dogs, thanks Jen. I woke up not too long after and left Brooke sleeping in our bed. I went up stairs when I heard her moving around to get welcomed by giant smiles. I may be a little discriminate here when I say that Brooke gives the biggest and best smiles but I am aloud to.
Before Jen left for work we took Brooke out and let her lay on the quilt that aunt April made for her. She really liked it, and Nanuk did too. Madison was busy chewing a bone but Nanuk would have none of that. She came right over and laid down with Brooke and proceeded to give kisses though she stopped when she was told to. Nanuk then spent the rest of the time just lying there even when Brooke was holding her ball Nanuk did not try to take it from her though I think she was waiting for Brooke to throw it. As you can see from the picture Nanuk loves her little human. I have a feeling that once Brooke starts crawling nanuk will be there to help her stand.
Even though Madison is not around she is getting along with Brooke to. She does not run away like she use to if you brought Brooke close to her and will even go up to Brooke and sniff her though she is not too sure of the baby swing after she tried to get a sniff and got hit with the swing. I even had Brooke lay with Madison on the bed. Brooke and I went up stairs and Madison was on the bed after a couple of seconds of Brooke sitting beside Madison though she looked at Brooke as if to say " where did she come from" then got up. Brooke and I then per Madison and let her go back to sleep.
I am glad that the dogs are getting along with Brooke and I am sure that as she gets older both dogs are going to be her best friends especially when Brooke starts to eat solid foods. Lol

Madison's thoughts

Hello I am Madison I am Nanuk's big sister and Brooke's oldest fur sister.
I was a little nervous when mommy and daddy brought Brooke home for the first time. I was excited to see them because the went away for a few days and left me with uncle Sid but they came back. But they brought something with them that I was not esure of, it smelled like a human but was different so I just avoided it. Nanuk would not leave it alone and ended up on a leash in the house hehehe that was funny. The other thing I didn't like was that mommy did not walk Nanuk and I for a long time. I think at first it was because she put on a lot of winter weight and she seemed to get up set at me on walks when I would pull. When she got back with Brooke she still did not walk with me she spent a lot of time up stairs in bed with Brooke. I would have cuddled with her but mommy had the baby with her and I was still not too sure of it. But then mommy started feeling better I guess because she started walking with Nanuk and me and daddy though she did bring the baby in a strange cart thing thought got used to it fast.
My mommy says I have to stop pulling on the walks though she just doesn't under stand all the awesome smells in the grass and then the squirrels that run on the hydro wires over my head or in the trees tease me and don't even get me started on the cats, they at just begging to be chased.
Well I have to go and chase the birds out of the yard now I will talk more later.

A word from Nanuk

Hi everyone I am Brooke's bestest friend though she can't play with me yet because she is too small and can't walk and I am big and clumsy and mom and dad think I will hurt her by falling on her man they are silly.
I like having Brooke around. I was real excited when mom and dad first brought her home but hey what do you expect? They were gone for ever and when they came back they had this neat smelling thing with them.

I like giving Brooke kisses but mom and dad limit my kisses to just one but I some times steal a couple more. I just want to help take care of her but I don't know what to do. Now that Brooke is here mom and dad have new things in the house that I just love. They call them pacifiers and rubber bottle nipples but I just call them tasty. I like to steal them off of the tables if they leave them there or off the counter. I get in trouble when I do it and mom keeps saying that I am going to end up in a crate at night but I say they are too tasty to stop eating though they are getting better at keeping them away from me.
Well I have to go back outside now (daddy does not know I am inside and on his phone hehehe) catch you all later.

May 29 and Jen's new hours

Well today is the first day that Jen starts her new hours at work so Brooke and I are alone for 10 hours from 9-7. It is a little different because of Brooke's feeding but we are getting into it quickly.
Yesterday Brooke and mommy went out together for the day mommy got her hair done and Brooke met
A new fur friend Zeus and he liked her a lot. With them gone I got to work in the garage, after I walked the dogs, cut the grass, went to a physio appointment and picked up some wood for Jen so she can make some planter boxes when she is off on Thursday. So we all had a good day yesterday. Right now Brooke is sleeping and I am going to have a coffee after doing the dishes and waiting to feed Brooke again.

Week four

Sorry I have not added anything in a while. Last week we had a visit from aunt April as well as Alexis and Andrew. It was a good weekend. We also had a foster puppy here named Foxy so it was a little busy. This week Foxy went to her forever home, though Brooke wanted to keep her so did Madison and Nanuk.
Brooke had her two month check up and every thing is good though the doctor did say she is a little on the light side she is 8 lbs 2 oz and 23 inches so she is tall and skinny.
We also went to a play group when with mommy I think I might start taking her every week.
Brooke has also started to read the Canadian tire flyer ( I think she wants a pool to go swimming with Nanuk)
Well seeing as how more people know about this now I will write more often.

Week two

I haven't posted too much here yet, nothing too exciting happening. Brooke is very easy to take care of, she eats sleeps and that is about it. Jen has been working afternoons so Brooke is up at around 6 and so are we. She will stay up for the most part until Jen goes to work at 12. She will eat just before Jen leaves and them sleep until 3 or 4 then I feed her then we take the dogs for their afternoon walk. The walking is good the dogs are now use to walking with the stroller though Nanuk has backed into it a couple of times when she sees something.
One funny thing that did happen this week I can not explain. I was in the kitchen with Brooke in her chair when I had to go out to get Madison to stop barking, when I tried to come back in the door was locked. I don't know how Brooke did it, I didn't think that she could reach the lock let alone know how to use it. When I walked around to the front door Brooke was just sitting there with a little smile on her face.

Day one.

The first day went surprisingly well, for the most part. I did learn that I should not try going for a walk before I have my morning coffee ( Nanuk does not like it when you try to put her in the stroller) but after a few false starts ( the look on the dog's faces when I forgot to bring them was funny) we all had a good walk.
For the most part Brooke is easy to take care of all she does is eat, poop, and sleep.
Between eating and sleeping Brooke does like to stand which she is getting good at.

First blog

I was asked to write this because some people thought it might be funny. If I could figure out what to write it may be. To start no making fun of my spelling or grammar.
To keep this interesting I will write some from my point of view and some will be from Brooke's and some may even be from Madison's and Nanuk's , and some may be made up I just don't know I guess we will have to see.

Second day

Today not too bad yet. We woke up around 6:30 Brooke is funny to watch wake up it starts with stretching and making noise. This will go on for a while so I didn't get up until 6:45.
Today I was able to have a coffee before we went for the walk so all went well. After the walk I tried to have some breakfast bit Brooke would have none of that. I had to scarf down my breakfast between her sleeping and crying about a minute. Lunch was the same, I am starting to think that she does not want daddy to eat lol. My own diet plan.
