Christmas

Hi everyone. I know it has been too long since I posted anything. I have been busy at the baby sitters as well as learning new things.
I have learned how to climb on boxes. They are so much fun. Though the box I was climbing on mommy moved cuz it got wet but that is ok cuz now that it is gone I just taught my self how to use the couch to pull my self up. It is a lot better than the box cuz I stand right up and I can reach things up there too, like the newspaper when it is there and Nanuk when she is sleeping there. Hehe. I still zoom around the house but I am a lot faster now, mommy and daddy can barely keep up with me. I also have a new favorite pass time. I just found out that there is a real cool bowl on the floor. I have see the dogs drinking out of it so I figured it must be something good. I was right, it has water in it!! It is just like my bath except I don't lay in the water. I have lots of fun splashing in it. One time I splashed so much that the floor was all wet, and the cupboard was wet and I was all wet too. When mommy and daddy are in the kitchen some times I keep them busy just trying to keep me away from the water.
Another fun thing I do is clap my hands with daddy and cheer with him too. It is lots of fun when he gets it right. Some times I also like to just hear how loud I can make my voice, then mommy and daddy try to beat me but I just go louder so I win.
It is also fun to do it when daddy bounces me on his knee. It makes my voice sound funny.

The last few days here have been busy but also lots of fun. On Sunday aunt Nicole and uncle Sid came over and they brought Simba and Sora and Luna as well as their foster dog Cadence. Then grandma came over with Paul and they brought Wriggly. With Madison and Nanuk that made 7 dogs in my house. Wow. I had more dogs than I could watch. Madison and Nanuk were real happy to see everyone too though they still are not too sure of Luna and Cadence was a little too excited some times for then but in the house they all got along together.

Yesterday was a fun day. Mommy was home all day cuz she didn't have to work and then we got to open all the things that were under the tree. I got a lot of new clothes and some new toys. Now I have my own remote control. It sings and makes noise but I think I have to program it cuz it doesn't control the t.v yet but I will fix that. I also got a real cool bike. I can either sit on it or when my legs get a little stronger I can walk behind it. Right now I like sitting on it and listening to the music that plays. I am learning how to push myself but I am not too good at that yet but daddy will push me on it and we go zoom zoom zoom from the kitchen to the living room and back. He also showed me how to honk the horn to get things out of my way. I like to honk it at mommy and Nanuk. It is fun to see them move as I go scooting by. After seeing all the stuff I guess I had Santa Claus all wrong. Now I feel bad for crying when I saw him. Next time I see him I will give him a big smile.
Oh yeah! Can you guess what we had for supper last night? I'll give you a hint, it was my most favorite food. That is right TURKEY!!! This Christmas thing is lots of fun, everyone over, and presents and turkey too. I think it is one of my favorite days so far. I don't know what else is coming up but it has to be good to beat Christmas. And mommy says that tomorrow we are going to see my great granddad and great grandma. I like seeing them as well as my uncle Jon an aunt Trish and Erin and Amy. It is going to be so much fun. Then one more week and I get to see my grandma and grandpa ( daddy's mommy and daddy) and my aunt Tracy and uncle Rob and Emily, Cassandra and Shannon. It is going to be so much fun I can't wait.
Well I should be going to bed.

Wow

I know I know, it has been too long since I wrote anything here. I am sorry but I have been a busy busy baby. What with playing at the babysitter's then playing with mommy and daddy as well as Madison and Nanuk and keeping the foster puppy in line I have been super busy.

I don't even know where to start. Daddy is back to work now, which means that I go to the sitters every day. It is so much fun there. Now that I move around a lot I keep the sitter real busy. And they have a real cool pet, it is a cat. How cool is that? Don't let Madison and Nanuk know this but I really like the cat. I think that that is why Madison sniffs me when I come home, which I don't mind cuz some times she sneaks in a small kiss when no one is looking.
The one thing I miss though is going to under one club with daddy, but he said that he will take me next week when he is not at work. I can't wait.
My aunt Teri came out to my house last weekend. It was lots of fun to see her. She took me to the city on Saturday while mommy was at work. We had lots of fun shopping and we got to see aunt Nicole too.

Oh yeah, one evening mommy came home from work a little early and mommy and daddy bundled me up in my snow suit and put me in my stroller. I thought we were going for a walk with the doggies but when we left we didn't take then. I didn't know what was going on. We walked out to the main street and just stood there. It was strange cuz there was a lot of other people standing on the sidewalk too. After a while we heard a siren and saw flashing lights, but they were not going very fast. When they Finaly got up to us I saw that there was a lot of people walking or riding on the back of trailers and they all had flashing lights on them. Some people came up to us and gave us candy. I let daddy have it cuz I can't have candy yet. One person came up and gave me a big stuffed raccoon it was so cool. It is almost as big as I am. (Nanuk really likes it but she can't have it). There were even a couple of tiny horses puling carts. They were so cute, and someone put antlers on them. One even tried to come over and see me but the person in the cart would not let him get too close. The one shiny trailer thing ( mommy called it a float) had a big man on it with a big white beard and dressed all in red. Mommy told me that he was Santa Claus. I don't know who he is it he sure was happy.
Mommy told me later that it was the Santa Claus parade. He must be a really famous person to have all that fallow him around.

A few days after the parade mommy and daddy took me to the mall. And wouldn't you know it, that Santa dude was there too. He was sitting on a really big chair and children were sitting on his lap. I thought that was kinda cool, but then mommy and daddy put me on his lap then they moved away! I was not too sure about that, but then I saw the camera and let them get a couple of pictures but not too many. I wanted to get out of there. I am not too sure about that Santa guy.

So yeah. I am still not crawling on my hands and knees, though I do get up on then and rock back an forth, but wow can I move in my belly. One of my favorite things to do is play with the gate mommy put up in the doorway to the kitchen. It is there to keep Iggy our foster puppy in the kitchen while I am playing on the floor. Though I usually go over to it and play with him through the gate. On Sunday Iggy had one of my slippers on the dog bed while I was on the floor so I cralles over there and played with him. We played a little tug of war and I am happy to say that I won, though I did give it back to him. We then passed it back and forth to each other. He is still a young puppy and has to learn how to carry the long bones though. He was carrying one past me the other day on his way to the kitchen and bonked me on the head while he walked by. It didn't hurt but I did tell him to be more careful next time.

Last night daddy took me to his Christmas party at work. I slept on the way there and was still tired when we got there so at first I didn't want to give any smiles. But once I woke up it was fun to watch everyone's reaction when I gave them one of my big smiles. I think I was the hit of the party. I was even nice to daddy and let him eat his dinner. Though I was eating my cookie. We left when I was starting to get tired but as we were leaving we walked past where the music comes out of and I started dancing in daddy's arms. It was a fun night and I slept the hole drive home then when we got home I got to spend time with mommy. By that time I was not tired and when mommy and daddy tried to go to bed I kept playing on their bed, though after close to an hour of playing I got tired again and let mommy out me in my bed. Also when I got home I had so much energy that mommy stood me up in front of the couch and I held my self up and played with Nanuk while she laid on it. Daddy thinks I will walk before I crawl on my hands and knees.

Well I should get to sleep now. I have a busy day tomorrow. Don't tell daddy that I was using his phone while he was asleep ok.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, remember that tree mommy and daddy were talking about putting in the living room? Well they put it up. I didn't know they has a tree in a box downstairs. I wonder what else is down there. The tree also has lights one it, not that is just cool. And they are not the only ones that have one, my babysitter has one in her house too? I didn't think that she knew how much I liked trees.
I am still trying to find out about this Christmas thing though. I'll let you know when I find more out about it.

First week at the sitters.

Hello!
How is everyone? I am doing good. As you can see I spent the week with the babysitter. It is lots of fun. I get to play with other kids there, though they are all older than I am but I don't mind. There is also a doggie there too.
Daddy went back to work this week. He left Monday before I woke up so I didn't get my cuddle time with him, but when he got home he made up for it. Daddy ended up being off for the rest of the week, he says it is because his work was screwed up BUT I know the real reason is because hi missed me. Hehehe.
On Wednesday mommy brought a foster doggie home from her work. His name is maverick and he looks just like we think Madison would have looked like at 6 months. Yeah he is only 6 months old so that makes me older than him can you guess by how much? I turned 8 months old on Tuesday ain't that just awesome? Mommy brought Maverick home to play with Madison and Nanuk but when he got here he was a little scared at first then just wanted to sniff around. Mommy was off yesterday and we had all the dogs in the yard but still no playing. I think it was because Nanuk and Madison were feeling a little sick. This morning though 20 minutes before mommy had to take him back to work he started playing with them and they all had a blast.
Yesterday mommy took me to the last day of my mother goose club. That is where we learn fun songs. It was lots of fun and mommy also got a cd of the songs to play.
Yesterday was also my daddy's birthday. I am not sure what that is yet but we got to go out for supper and that was lots of fun. I kept mommy busy by grabbing everything that was in my reach, that should teach mommy and daddy for forgetting to bring me my toys. Did you know that knives and forks make a lot o noise when they fall to the floor? I also had fun playing with mommy's menu. Daddy tried to give me small menu that was on the table but I wanted the big one.
We also met mommy's friend there too. So I had lots of fun keeping them all busy. Daddy and I also had a sword fight at the table, don't worry though we were only using spoons. After that daddy showed me how to fling a sugar packet across the table with a spoon, that was funny and I will have to remember how to do it.
When we got home the dogs were excited to see us. When we all settled down I sat in my excer saucer and played and giggled at maverick, I am not sure what I was giggling at he was just laying on the dog bed and I thought it was funny.
Mommy also got me a new bigger car seat for her car cuz I al getting bigger. Daddy is going to take the one in his truck out cuz I am too big for that one and he is going to put the one that was in mommy's car into his truck.

Well let see what else is up? Oh yeah! Does anyone know what has happened to the trees? I am kinda worried, they are not green anymore. I liked looking at the green leaves but now there are no leaves on the trees and there are a pile of things on the ground under the trees. Mommy said that they are the leaves but that can't be cuz they are not green. If anyone has any ideas as to what happened let me know. Also, what happened to the days? I like walking with the dogs and seeing everything but now it is dark when we walk. Why is that? I miss my sun. And it is not warm anymore. Now mommy and daddy have to put more clothes on me before we go out. How many layers soni need? The hat I don't mind, as longas it stays out of my eyes but the mittens are a pain. How am I supposed to grab anything with those things on? I want it to warm up so I don't need all those things on. On the bright side, a lot of the houses around here look neat in the dark. They have bright flashing lights on them and some even have things on the front yard so at least that looks good.
Mommy and daddy tell me that they are Christmas lights, what ever that is. They also talk to each other about putting up Christmas lights and where to put the Christmas tree. I think that they are crazy cuz they say that the Christmas tree is going to go in the living room. Don't they know you can't put a tree in the house? Trees are big and the living room is small. I can't wait to see their faces when they try it and I will say "see I told you so!" though it will probably come out as "da da ga goooo bluffffff. Lalala mmmmmm" but daddy will know what I mean.

Almost back to work

Well I go back to work in a few days. All I can say is "I DON'T WANNA GO!!!!"
Baby sitter is all lined up and Brooke likes going there so that will be good.

I am surprised at how fast the time has gone by. It seems like yesterday I was finishing up painting the living room and taking Jen to the hospital.
I have enjoyed my time home with Brooke. It has been fun bonding with her. One second I need to see what she is into. Ok back, she was just playing with shoes at the front door.
Well this blog started by a few people who thought it would be fun to see what I go through being home with Brooke. Well it turns out that she is the best baby ever and it has been easy taking care of her. So I decided to write through Brooke's eyes just to make it interesting, which I think it is.
Now that I am going back to work I have been debating on keeping this blog going and I think I will I'll just change the name of it from stay at home dad to dad away from Brooke.
Or I'll just keep it the same and have fun coming up with new stories. Though none up till now have been made up, they are all 100 % Brooke. Lol.
Well I should get going now, I need to get Brooke lunch and something for me, and I think Brooke wants to use my phone.

Another note from Brooke.

Where to start? It has been so long since I wrote something I can't remember what I have done.
Last week mommy had Tuesday off again and she came to under one club with me. She kinda fooled me cuz she left early he had to go somewhere first. I thought she went to work. But daddy took me to under one club and when we got there mommy came in behind us, when I saw her I gave her big smiles. I had lots of fun and showed everyone there how well I can sit up on my own and how I can scoot around on my belly. I also showed them how loud I can be sometimes lol.
On Thursday mommy was off again and we met her friend at the dog trail with her dogs. We had Madison,Nanuk, Sid (not uncle Sid but doggie Sid) choco and Roscoe. It was lots of fun to see all the dogs running and having fun. Daddy was carrying me on his back in my carrier. After walking for a bit we saw mommy's boss and she walked with us too with her four dogs and another one that she was doggie sitting. That was lots of fun walking with 10 doggies. I was so full of smiles. It was so much fun that I didn't want to have a nap but I did any way while mommy was carrying me for a bit. When we got home Madison and Nanuk were so tired that they slept for the rest of the day and night and Nanuk was still tired the next day.

On the weekend grandma and Paul came over to help daddy out in new doors. Paul helped while grandma watched me. We had a lot of fun. Grandma took me geocaching. We went the wrong way the first time and ended up in a farmers field, I knew where it was but I was not going to say anything hehe I am such a stinker and not just when I have a poopy. We didn't find it that day but we went out on Sunday when grandma figured out where it was. Grandma and I also had fun playing games, she learns them so fast hehehe. I would clap and make noises then look at her I make sure that she did it right. I even played patty cake with Paul, and he is good at it. I even got to show grandma how good I am at scooting around. I had lots of fun with her. Also wriggly came over too. He is a silly dog. He loved running around outside with Madison and Nanuk but for some reason he didn't like going from the kitchen to the living room. Other than that he was happy to be here and he even gave me some kisses.

On Monday mommy was home and the two of us just spent the day playing and cuddling. It was lots of fun. Even though I like going places it was fun just to stay home with mommy. Daddy was working on the back door finishing it up so I didn't see him too much.

On Tuesday daddy and I went to under one club. He weighed me there and I was 18lbs 8 oz, wow am I ever getting big. When I was there I watched the other kids crawl around then I showed them how I do it. I even played with them a little and made a lot of the other mommy's smile by smiling at them, some times I find it too easy to get grown ups to smile and make funny noises but it is fun to do.

Well there is my week till today. And it is almost time to get daddy to get me my lunch. I would make it myself but I don't want daddy to know I don't need him lol don't tell him I said that. I still need him to change my poopies, those things can be messy.

First Halloween.

That is what Halloween is. I wasn't sure what to expect. Even though there was no yummy turkey there was lots of CANDY!!!!! Did you know that people just give you candy? I never knew that, it is so cool. I wonder how often this Halloween thing happens.
Mommy was able to come home early, I was napping when she got here but her and daddy woke me up. I didn't want to wake up but I was happy when I saw mommy. A couple of kids came to the door and daddy gave then candy. They were funny kids though, there were some princesses and robots and even some monsters, but it is ok they were not scary. Madison was happy with looking at them at the door but Nanuk was getting a little too excited.
Mommy then put more clothes on me, I don't know why cuz I was already dressed, funny mommy. When she was done I looked like a zebra. I wasn't sure what one of those was but I am guessing that they are cute cu that is what everyone who saw me kept saying.
When I was dressed mommy and daddy took me out to the neighours houses. It was so cool, we would k ock on the door and they would give us candy, it was so much fun to see them all and I gave then all big smiles.
Well any way I just wanted to let you know how my first Halloween was. As you can see it was lots of fun. I can't wait to do it again. I wonder how long I have to wait.
What is the next holiday? I don't k is but at the stores I am seeing a lot of red stuff, so it looks like it might be a fun one, I'll just have to wait and see.

From Monday to Tuesday. What a week.

Where to start? This has been a crazy. First mommy was off on Monday AND Tuesday. How cool is that? Monday was not too exciting daddy went out to the garage for a bit and I let mommy go out there too for a bit. See sometimes I can be nice to them, just don't tell them that I just wanted some alone time my self hehehe.
Tuesday was fun. Mommy was able to go to under one club with daddy and me. It was lots of fun. I got to show off how well I can sit up and also showed off my belly crawling skills which I am getting good at if I don't say so myself.
On Wednesday daddy let me go to the babysitter. I had so much fun there. When daddy dropped me off I was full of smiles. The babysitter is really surprised at how easy I am to watch and how easy going and happy I am all the time. When daddy picked me up I gave him big smiles cuz I was so happy to see him.
The rest of the week was not too exciting. I just spent most of my time getting better at sitting up and pulling myself around on the floor. I have lots of fun playing on the floor and then when daddy is not looking going where he least expects me to go. Yesterday I pulled myself over to the coffee table between the chairs. I thought it was fun to do but daddy said there was too much stuff there for me to get into so he moved me, how mean is that? I didn't even know what was there, so as soon as he put me down I went back to look. He must have moved all the interesting stuff though cuz there was nothing there.
The last couple of days has been boring too cuz it has been raining. I don't like the rain, I don't get as many walks and when I do daddy puts a rain cover on my stroller so I don't get wet but then I can't feel the fresh air on my cheeks and that is no fun. And everything looks strange through it too. Anyway, long story short I have been napping more, which is good too cuz it helps me grow, and it means that I am not too tired at night so I go to bed earlier. Have I told you that I am sleeping in my own room now? I have so much fun there, I don't get woken up when mommy's alarm goes off in the morning or when daddy stays up late. The only problem with it is when I wake up in the night and can't find my pacifier it takes a few minutes for daddy to come down and find it for me. I have also learned how to turn on my mobile. That really surprised both mommy and daddy they didn't think I could do it.

Well today is Monday again and mommy is finally off work. Today we are taking the doggies to a trail. Daddy or me have not been to this o e before but mommy has taken Madison and Nanuk. She says that Nanuk likes this one cuz there is water that she can swim in. We are going to meet up with mommy's friend and her dogs, I sure hope that Madison and Nanuk behave themselves, though I am sure they will.
We all had lots of fun at the trail. Madison went crazy and started running around before daddy was able to get her leash off. It was funny to watch her. Once daddy was able to catch her again her and Nanuk went running everywhere. Sid and Choco the other two dogs we were with could not keep up, though Sid tried. And no I am not calling uncle Sid a doggie, he wasn't there, I think it would have gotten too confusing if he was. Anyway, Madison and Nanuk were good and they didn't travel too far, except when they ran around the small lake. It was funny when they got back on the trail. We were waiting for them and saw them but they couldn't see us and were sniffing the ground looking for us. Once they saw us they came running but slowed down about half way, I guess they didn't know how far it was. Once they came back they both were tired and stayed closer. When we got home both of them were tired and both smelled like swamp and wet dog cuz they were swimming. They slept the rest of the day and all night.
Yesterday mommy had to go to work early but she got off early so it was not too bad. Daddy took me to under one club. It was so much fun. I sat up for a bit but then went on my belly. It was fun showing every one there how I can scoot around with out crawling. It is fun now cuz when I see something there that I want I can go to it myself. Daddy weighed me there too. I didn't gain too much. I only weigh 17lbs 8oz but daddy still says i am getting big. One of my favorite things to do there is have daddy hold me in front on the mirror, it is real cool cuz I can see daddy in front of me but when I look over my shoulder he is there too, how weird is that? The baby there is fun too we like to play slap each others hand, no matter how I move my hand her hand is always there to hit mine. I am not sure how she does it but I am going to keep trying to beat her.
Well I should get going. Daddy says that it is Halloween tonight. I am not sure what that is but mommy and daddy seem to be excited about it so I think it should be fun. I sure hope that there is turkey, turkey is good and I haven't had any in a while. I'll keep my fingers crossed and let you know what this Halloween thing is once I find out.

A few words from me

Well I can't believe that it has been seven months already. Where does the time go?
Brooke has grown up so fast. I am not looking forward to going back to work next month.
Brooke has started sleeping in her room the last couple of days. That is going good, for the most part. The first night she slept all night but the second night she woke up at about 11 and wanted a little snack. So I brought her up to Jen and Brooke fell back to sleep. I took her back down around 12:30 just before I went to sleep and she slept the rest of the night. We heard a little movement in the monitor just before 6 I think it was, Jen went down to get her and Brooke had turned on her mobile, she is such a smart girl.
So the crib seems to be working except that Brooke does not want to wake up in the mornings anymore. She use to get up when Jen did so she could eat a little before Jen goes for a walk then get up again at 8 for another eat before Jen goes to work. Now Jen has to go and wake her up at 8 to feed her and she eats a little then falls back to sleep. She has just started waking up so I got her bottle ready, as soon as she saw it she wanted it and now she is snoozing again it is now 9:30. Looks like Jen and I will have to change our morning schedule, oh well. I am not surprised that Brooke is tired, she didn't want to go to sleep last night. Jen took her up to our room and when I went up at about 10:30 Brooke was wide awake. She played with my watch, both remotes as well as the baby monitor until Jen tried feeding her again between 11:30 or 12. I put Brooke in her room at 12:30 but she woke up again about a half hour later. She finally went to bed just after 1 I think. I tried to put her down but all she wanted was her mommy.
I will have to try to get Brooke to have a nap at some point today so she doesn't get over tired at bed time, the trouble with that though is she usually doesn't want to nap more than 30-60 minutes during the day. Oh well. I hope tonight goes better.

So. I hope that everyone who reads this blog enjoys it. I know Brooke enjoys writing it and letting everyone know what she has been up to.
Well I should get going and maybe do something while Brooke is still sleeping.

It has been too long

Wow it has been a while since I put something on here. I don't even remember everything that I have done.
Last weekend when mommy got home from work mommy daddy and I went into town to get supper and look at front doors. We went to supper first, that was cool. There were so many people around that I couldn't watch them all at the same time. I also got to sit in a high chair. That was fun. Mommy and daddy forgot to bring my chair from home so I got to sit in the big girl chair. That was fun cuz I could play with my toys and eat at the same time. It was also fun to drop my toys. Did you know that if you drop them just right they will go under the table or chair and mommy and daddy have to bend in strange ways to pick them up? It was funny to watch so I made sure to do it more than a few times.
After supper I was starting to get a little tired but I couldn't sleep yet, we were going to one of my favorite stores , home depot. I know it is strange of me to like a store like that but have you ever seen one? It is so big and there is so much to look at. Also daddy likes it, though I don't know why, when ever we go there he ends up needing to do work at home. Anyway we got there but they were closed, maybe mommy and daddy should have checked the store hours before they went. I got up set and started crying, I didn't understand why we couldn't go, but I calmed down when daddy said that he would take me the next day, and buy me a 12" sliding compound miter saw. I am not sure what that is but it sounded cool so I calmed down. He still owes me the saw though hehehe.

On Monday mommy and I went to the city and met aunt Nicole. We has lots of fun shopping and walking around. My mommy even got me a new toy. It is a mat that goes on the floor when I am in my jolly jumper and makes sounds when I jump on it. It is so much fun and when I am done jumping in it I can roll on it and make funny noises. The first time I got to lay on it I has to figure out where the noises were coming from and guess what, I found it in no time also I figured out that I'd you move the switch you can change the noises or even turn it off. How cool is that?

On Tuesday daddy took me back to under one club. We missed the week before because I was too tired and slept through it but this week I was awake and we had lots of fun there.
I always have fun watching the other kids crawling around and I have almost figured out how they do it, so now I am practicing it every chance i get though it is a lot harder than it looks, but I will get it sooner or later. Daddy also weighed me and I was 17lbs 3oz daddy says I am getting real big.

I have also tried some new foods. Have I told you about apples yet? They are good. Mommy has tried giving me beets but I am not too sure of them yet. Mommy also mixed some chicken with apples one night. I don't like puréed meats but mommy thought I would be fooled by putting it in with my apples. I knew what she did but ate it anyway so she would be happy. Don't tell her that I knew what she did I like he to think she put one over on me hehehe.

Daddy took me to the babysitter yesterday to see how I would do. It was lots of fun. I think daddy was a little sad when he left me though. To make him feel better I gave a little bit of a pouty face at first then smiled to make him feel good. I had so much fun there. There was a few other kids there but they were all older than me. I think the youngest was about 2. It was fun watching them run around and play and I enjoyed showing them how I can scoot around by rolling, I think they were all surprised how fast I can move. I can't wait to go back. Daddy said that he might let me go back next week for a few hours, I sure hope he does.

Wow was that ever a lot of typing. Now I don't know what else to put on here.
Oh yeah, mommy and daddy got me some soft mats to play on when I go on the floor. They are cool, they connect to each other and also have thin pieces that can come off and I can play with them, it is fun to hit daddy with them hehehe. It isn't my fault that he gets in the way of me swinging them. I can't take them off myself yet but I almost had one this morning. Maybe when mommy gets home I will figure out how to do it. They also make bouncing in my jolly jumper fun to. I am getting so good at bouncing. I almost bounce right out of it, and I have also learned how to bounce so that I go front and back and side to side, that is fun. Daddy still won't let me do a flip though, he is such a party pooper sometimes doesn't he k ow how much fun it would be to do a flip? Oh well.
Well I should get going now. I am getting hungry so I should wake daddy up so he can get my bottle ready, I should learn how to walk soon then I can get my own food.

Thanksgiving 2012

TURKEY IS AWSOME!!!! Have you ever had it? I had some in Sunday and it was great, and by great I mean the bestest. I think thanksgiving is my favoritest holiday ever! Though I haven't had many of them yet.
This weekend aunt Nicole and uncle
Sid came out with Simba, Sora and Luna. It was fun to see them and I am happy to say that Nanuk and Madison got along with Luna this time. I like it when they come over cuz their doggies are a lot different then my dogs. Simba is very calm and always has a worried look on his face. He let's me pet him if someone is holding me, and he will sniff me a little but he is still unsure of me. I can't wait to get bigger and for him to get used to me cuz he is a big softy and likes to cuddle and I want to cuddle with him.
Sora is a very funny dog. She is nervous but is also very playful. It is funny to watch her get scared in the house when she is up stairs and uncle Sid goes up there. Sora will bark at him then run down stairs to get away, it is funny cuz she has to run past him to get down and sometimes she wil get to the bottom only to get scares again and run back up past Sid again. It is real funny to watch. She is even unsure of me at times. I can be sitting in my excersaucer and she will be back about five feet and see me and bark at me, I just smile and look at her and most of the time she lays down. Even when she wants to come in the house can be funny. She will bark at the door but when someone opens it she will run away a bit then turn around and maybe bark at whoever is at the door then work up her courage and bolt past the door through the kitchenand to the bottom of the stairs. Even though she is a nervous dog Sora loves to play with other docs and Madison and Nanuk let her get away with almost anything. It is a lot of fun to watch them play.
Luna is aunt Nicole's poodle. She is a nice dog and she likes me a lot, just like my Nanuk. Maybe that is why the two of them don't get along sometimes. Luna would give me kisses and let me pet her, I would also pull her hair sometimes and she wouldn't care, but someone was always there to remind me not to pull but to pet the doggies, I am still learning that.

So those are the doggies that I spent my weekend with now back to the important stuff, TURKEY!!!!!!
Mommy and aunt Nicole had to work on Sunday so it was just daddy uncle Sid the dogs(all five of them) and me, Brooke. We had a fun day and at one point daddy and uncle Sid had to go to town to pick up a few things so they put Madison and Nanuk into their doggie pen and the others stayed in the house ( even though they were good all weekend they still don't trust Madison and Nanuk alone with Luna) and went to town. Don't worry they took me with them. We had to go to Walmart, I like going there with daddy, he always pushes the cart fast and then skids the cart around the corners, we go zoom zoom zoom, screech but we have not hit anything, yet hehehe. After that we went to one of daddy's favorite stores, home depot. He needed to pick up some more trim to finish the trim in the kitchen. I like that store too, it is so big and there is a lot of things there. It was funny cuz mommy had her jeep at work and aunt Nicole had her car( they both worked at different times) so uncle Sid had to squeeze in between daddy and me in the truck, I though it was tight with Andrew hehehe.
When aunt Nicole got home from work she started making supper. I have never seen so many pots being used at the same time. While she did that uncle Sid cleaned up the yard for mommy and daddy while daddy cut and put up the trim. While they did that I played in the kitchen and helped aunt Nicole. It was lots of fun.
When mommy got home it was time for thanksgiving dinner. I didn't know what that was at first, but now I think it means that you make lots of food and put it on the table. I have never seen so much food on the table before. There was so much that they all had to pass it to each other. It was kinda funny to watch. When every one has food mommy gave me a pice of turkey. I was not too sure of it at first but once I put it in my mouth WOW, it was soooo yummy. I couldn't get enough. Mommy tried to take my pice away from me after I started to rip pieces off of it, but she gave me another pice so it wasn't that bad. I thought that ham was good but I think turkey is better.

On Monday morning we all took the dogs to the trail for a walk. Mommy pit me in my new carrier, it is a backpack that I can sit in. That was fun cuz I get to sit up high and see everything.
The dogs had lots of fun running the trail and exploring, though we did loose Sora once she came back, I think she just went down the wrong trail. Madison even started to play with Luna and they had a quick game of chase, and Nanuk and Luna even walked side by side for a bit. I like when we go to the trail but I think there is something wrong there though. Last time we were there all the trees were green but now they are orange, yellow and red and someone also dropped a hole pile of leaves on the ground and didn't even pick them up. I think it is the same person who put them in the back yard as well as on the side walk. I don't know who did it but isn't that littering? Even though it does look pretty and makes lots of noise when we walk through them. And it is not just the trees on the trail that are going funny colors, all the trees out my windows are doing the same thing except for my favorite tree in the back yard, it is still dark green. I sure hope that the trees are feeling ok, maybe they are not feeling well cuz it is cold out, maybe they should put a sweater or coat on, that would make them feel better it works for me. Maybe mommy can get a pook toque for them like I have. I like my pook toque. It is so warm and everyone comments on how cute it is, and the best thing is mommy has one too so we can both be cute together.

Brooke's week off with mommy.

I had a really cool week. I got to go and travel with mommy and daddy and see moms family. It was lots of fun, when we first got to Grandmas we had to go and see her at work. That was lots of fun as Grandma had to show me off to everyone. Everyone liked it when I smiled at them... Adults are so easily amused.

On Friday I got to meet my Grandpa he was happy to see me. I got to sit on his lap and play with the tv remote. He also made faces at me to make me laugh. It was fun. When I got fussy I got to play on the floor so I could show grandpa that I am really good at rolling over and playing with my toys.

On Saturday we went and saw daddy's family. We got to go to Tracy's house. Here I got to play with the girls... They really liked to keep me entertained. It was fun to watch them as they ran around and made lots of noise. I can't wait until I can chase after them. They have such cool toys but I am too small, once I can sit up without help I can have the cool toys. I want the drums, those made lots of noise!!

On Sunday we went for a nice long hike everyone was tired when they got home I don't know why? It seemed easy to me. I got to sit in my cuddly wrap while aunt Teri walked me around. I even got to have a nap, it was a relaxing hike I don't understand why they were complaining. Everyone even kept stopping to find caches I don't know what that is but they kept finding them. There was plenty of rest time. While Teri was walking me around I got to look at lots of trees, I really like trees! Some of them were funny looking though... They were red, most trees I see are green. Oh well they are still fun! While we were hiking Grandma left some containers behind, I hope she is able to find them again! Although I am told they are left there for someone else to find like we were looking for other caches but I don't really understand.

Sunday night we had a big dinner. I was able to try some ham that mommy puréed... It was yukky! I made lots of faces and spit it out. The potatoes werent very good either. Really I just wanted my peanut butter and bananas instead. Of course mommy gave them to me so that I ate something. On Monday Grandma gave me a piece of ham to suck on that was good!! I ate some of it while no one was looking hehehe!! I will teach mommy I just don't want them to be puréed!

After dinner on Sunday I was able to go in my jolly jumper well at least after the hook was installed! It took the "men" a long time to find a ceiling joist and put the hook in. I was laughing at them but secretly telling them to hurry up so I could JUMP!! I really love to jump.

Monday wasn't anything special but we did go shopping at Costco with Teri. I got some new clothes yay!

On Tuesday we had to head home :(. It is a long car ride although I was nice to mommy and daddy and was quiet for most of the ride but then I got hungry and tired so I started crying. Mommy was smart though and pulled over to get my bottle ready so I was happy again!! Once we got home I got to go to my under one club again!! Mommy even got to come which was cool. Mommy finally got to see me play with my friends.

Later that night I finally got to see my puppies again!! They spent the week with aunt Nicole and uncle Sid. When they saw daddy and me they went crazy! Madison was running all over the place. Daddy says Madison was smiling at him but all I saw was her teeth... I guess that could be a smile. While it has been a busy week, now that my mommy is home again with the puppies I am off to bed. I almost forgot to tell you all about my little buddy wriggly. He is grandma's puppy doggy. He isn't as big as Madison and Nanuk but he is cute. He even tried to play with my toys but he mostly played with his own. Daddy would throw wriggly's favorite bouncy ball and wriggly would run around and try to grab it. He would zoom zoom zoom around on the floor sliding every witch way while the ball bounced everywhere, it was fun to watch. He would also wait at the bedroom door in the morning until mommy opened it up so he could come and see daddy and me. He would jump on the bed and cuddle with us, but he is a little more clumsy than Nanuk, that or he couldn't see me cuz he would step on me or sit on me sometimes, good thing he is small, but daddy was there to make sure that I was ok. Some times when I was playing on the floor Wriggly would lay down with me. He is such a good doggy, he made it easier not having my Madison and Nanuk with me.

Oh yeah last night mommy gave me a pice of something that she called chicken, it was so tasty, not as good as the ham but still good. Have you ever had chicken? Mommy told me not to swallow any cuz I don't have any teeth yet to chew with but when she was not looking I swallowed a small pice. Then another and another. Mommy finally took my pice of chicken away from me and decided to purée some up for me, it just isn't the same but by that time I had enough and just wanted my bottle.
So as you can see I had a busy week. What did you all do? Hope you had as much fun as I did. My mommy tells me that uncle Sid and aunt Nicole are coming over this weekend it will be nice to see them and when they come more doggies come too!!! How cool is that, I will not only have Madison and Nanuk but I will also have Simba and Sora (she is a funny dog he is scared of everything even me, but she is getting better and loves to run and play with Madison and Nanuk) and I think Luna is coming too, I sure hope Madison and Nanuk get along with her, if not I will have to yell at them but I am sure that they will all get along. When they come out mommy said that we are going to have a turkey dinner. I don't know what that is but I am looking forward to trying it, it sounds yummy.
Well I really should be getting to bed now, I am not sure what we are doing in the morning but I should get some sleep so I can play. Talk to you all later and I will let you know what a turkey dinner is when I find out.

OH YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT, I am getting bigger, I weigh 16lbs 4oz. Also when mommy and daddy went shopping they out me in the cart, and not in my car seat, that was so much fun, though mommy would not go close enough to the shelves to let me grab things for her, but soon I will be able to help her fill it hehehe.
Well I am off to bed now. For sure this time. I have lots of happy things to dream about. Night night.

Nanuk just saying "grrrr woooorrrrr woof"

Hello, Nanuk here just wondering how you are doing? I am doing fine. My mommy and daddy say that I have come a long way with Brooke. I now know that I can't lick her too much, and not on the face (though some times I sneak the odd face kiss when they are not looking, and when they are looking, I find it easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission).
Every day that daddy lets me and Madison in I always run into the living room to see how Brooke is doing. Some times though she is not in the living roomand daddy laughs at me when I run out there only to look in all her normal spots and not seeing her. I then grrrr at daddy only to see he sitting in her chair at the table.
I think Brooke likes me too. When I come close to her she reaches out to me and I lick her hand. Just this morning it was funny, mommy was holding Brooke and I came over and kissed her hand. Mommy told me to stop and moved Brooke's hand only to have Brooke move it back, she did this like three times before giving up.
I like it when daddy puts Brooke on the floor, I will lay down beside her and some times she will reach out and grab my fur, some times she pulls it a little but daddy is always there to make sure that Brooke does not hurt me so I just lay there. I do have to watch my paws though when I lay down with her, they are big and some times have a mind of their own so I have to make sure that I don't hit her with one by accident.
The training that mommy and daddy have been doing with Madison I really working and Madison is not only better on walks, which makes me better on them, she is also more happy and playful and we have fun running around the yard like we use to. It is soo much fun to go zooming around the yard trying to keep away from Madison, and then having a little wrestle with her. When we do it Brooke watches some times and I think I have seen her smile too. Daddy also gets in on it some times, though he can't keep up with Madison and me.
I have also been good and have not eaten a pacifier or bottle nipple in a couple of weeks now. Though that could have something to do with daddy making sure that they are always put away before he goes to bed, but the one he forgot the other night I didn't touch, so I am a good girl. Oh yeah, don't tell him that I am lulling him in to thinking that I am over chewing them so he will leave one out ok? Hehehe.
Well I think I should get going, daddy thinks I am out in the pen ( I have a tunnel that lets me out, but he doesn't know about it. Don't mention that either. Thanks.) hope everyone has a good day. Got to go and get Madison.

6 months

Wow am I bad at this, almost as bad as daddy hehehe.
Anyway it has been about two weeks again since I put anything on here. I have done so much that I don't know where to start.
I was at under one club with daddy again on Tuesday and he weighed me and I am now a whopping 15lbs 4 oz I am getting bigger and bigger. I also went to see the doctor for my 6 month check up and needle. Have you ever gotten a needle? I don't like that nurse person. Not only did she give me a needle but she also weighed me, measured my length and my head, that tapeie thingy that she has is scary then to too it off she put me on the cold scaly thingy with nothing but my pee catcher on, that thing was cold, needless to say I got upset about it all but it was ok cuz mommy was there with me to cuddle with, and I ended up falling asleep while we waited to see the doctor. The doctor was real nice cuz she just checked what she could while I slept and she didn't wake me up, I like her. I think daddy needs to teach the nurse how to take my weight cuz he does it every week and I don't fuss one bit. Oh yeah the doctor told mommy and daddy that I am in the 50th percentile for weight and length a long way from the 5th I was a couple of months ago.

I have also been busy helping daddy do the kitchen backsplash for mommy. Daddy would measure then I would double check it and cut the tile for him lol. No I didn't do any cutting but I did help him by playing on the floor or in my excer-saucer while he did it, though I didn't like it too much when he went outside to use the saw.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, I am getting closer to crawling, I now get my arms under me and push up and I don't tip over nearly as much as I use to though my back side still does not k ow what to do, there is a lot you have to get to work together to crawl it isn't nearly as easy as it looks, but with my lessons from daddy and more practice I am sure I can figure it out. Even with out the crawling though I still move around , daddy says I am a rolling expert and I have learned how to move while laying on my back and pushing with my feet. I am so good at it that when daddy outs me on the floor to play he never knows where I will be if he turns his head for a second though if he watches me I just play with my toys so he can't see how I move around. It is fun to tease daddy like that.

My doggies are doing very good too. Madison comes closer to me and has even got up on mommy and daddy's bed while I was on it with mommy, she would not have done that a month ago. She also comes up to me and sniffs me and once in a while will give me a little kiss but if I move or look at her she moves away still, but she is getting use to me and I don't think it will be long before she lets me pet her.
Nanuk on the other had just can't get enough of me. When daddy lets them in before he feeds them Madison always go to the kitchen and gets excited about her food where as Nanuk will come in the house and look for me first then go to get her food. Today it was funny. Daddy let them in and Nanuk came in looked at my chair beside the table but didn't notice me and kept going into the living room to find me. When she couldn't see me she came back into the kitchen and started "talking" to daddy until he told her I was in my chair. When she saw me she let out on of her wooer woofs then kissed my toe then went with daddy to get her supper. After mommy and daddy had their supper mommy out me on the floor to play and Nanuk came over cuz daddy was laying on the floor with me. Nanuk kept trying to lick my face but she is not allowed to but she can lick my hands and now that I reach out to he she licks them all the time. At one point she laid down and I rolled over and put my head in her though I didn't stay there Lon enough for mommy or daddy to get a picture. I also reach out to Nanuk now and try to pet her and she is real good if I happen to grab a bit of her fur and pull, but mommy and daddy are teaching me not to pull her hair, and I try not to, but Nanuk is real calm and doesn't do too much if I do.
Oh yeah I forgot to tell you all, I am now starting to grab anything and everything that I can reach. The other day daddy put me in my chair beside he table, and there was a lot of papers and a book on the table, well needless to say my chair was within arms reach of the table and when daddy went to go make supper I made my move and grabbed them all hehehe. Daddy wouldn't have known if some of the stuff didn't go crashing onto the floor, then when he came over to pick them up I grabbed them again before he could put them on the table. I guess I don't have to tell you that daddy made sure that everything that I should not play with or could break was out out of my reach but he did leave the colorful fliers and papers in my reach so I could still play with them and my toys.

Mommy says that next week I get to go see my grand parents and my aunt uncle and cousins for a few days then mommy is going to come with me to my under one club. I can't wait, not just to see everyone but also mommy has not been to my group since we signed up for it way back when I was only a little baby, like 5 months ago, that is like forever. I think mommy will like it there and she can see me playing with the other baby's and the toys there too.

Well I should go now so that I can put mommy to bed, she has to go to work in the morning so she needs sleep. Have a good night everyone.
Catch you all on the flip side, though mommy and daddy say I have to Waite until I can walk before I can start doing flips, I don't know why, I think doing flips would be fun. I may have to try one day while they are not looking, I'll let you know.

Sorry this one took so long

Hello everyone. It has been too long since I left a post but daddy has been keeping me busy.
You know it has been so long I can't remember everything that we have done. I know we have been to the under one club. I like driving in daddy's truck. It is fun to look out the window and watch all the trees go zooming by, they go so fast. The last time we went I had fun, even though I don't crawl around yet it is still fun watching the other children and smiling at every one there and I also enjoy rolling around., which I am getting real good at. When we were there daddy weighed me and I am 14 lbs 2oz. The week before I was only 13lbs 5oz. I am getting bigger by the minute.
On Monday mommy and daddy had a trainer come in to help them with Madison. It was fun walking with them and she showed them a lot of things they can do to help with her pulling on walks and barking at dogs on the walk.
Also on Monday aunt Nicole and uncle Sid brought Simba and Sora over cuz we were watching them for a few days. It was nice having them here, they are funny dogs. Sora is real skittish though she is not as bad as she use to be. It was funny when I was sitting in my exer-saucer she would bark when ever I looked at her, then I would giggle and she would bark again. Simba was funny too, he is still not too sure of me but he would come up and sniff me but he would move away when I moved. He came up to mommy and daddy's bed one morning while I was laying with then, he was excited until he noticed I was in bed then he kinda calmed down and tried to put the blanket over me with his nose.
I have also tried some new foods too. So far I have had bananas, pears, peaches, avocado (which I did not like at all) and last night I tried strawberries for the first time, wow they are good, a little sour at first but tonight I could not get enough of them they are SOOOO yummy.
I have also been spending my time in my jolly jumper, I am getting so good at it that daddy had to raise it up a whole link tonight and now I can jump even higher, though no flips yet, not while mommy and daddy are looking anyway.
I have also figured out that if I reach out to Nanuk she comes over and wil kiss me, it is fun to do especially after daddy tells her no more kisses hehehe.
Daddy has started putting a blanket down on the floor for me then he puts not one but both of my play mats for me to play on, how fun is that? I can play with the toys on one then roll over to the other one and play with different toys. And I get to have fun with daddy cuz he will walk into the kitchen or go to the bathroom and when he comes back I will be off the blanket and he doesn't know how I did it hehehe, it is a lot of fun to keep daddy thinking. Well I think I should go now I have to think what I want to do next week. Hope you all enjoy this one.

5 months old.

Can you believe it? I am five months old, wow does time fly.
This last week has been real busy.
On Sunday Andrew went home. Daddy and I drove to Algonquin park to meet Andrews mom and grandma. I had fun seeing them. We went to the visitors center and I got to see a bear, moose and a deer that was real cool. We also had lunch there and I got to sit in the high chair that was lots of fun. I was real good to daddy on the drive, I slept most of the way and he was nice ang got me bottles. I liked just sitting there and watching the trees.
On Monday mommy, daddy and I went to the dog park with Madison and Nanuk and we met up with Sasha ( use to be Foxy) that was lots of fun. All the doggies remembered each other and Sasha remembered us too. We walked around the park twice, though Nanuk had to go on a leash cuz she got into a tiff with another doggie. But it wasn't her fault though both dogs were at fault. Other than that it was a great day at the park.
On Tuesday guess what daddy and I did? Can't guess? Are you even trying? Fine I'll tell you. We went to our under one club. It was soooo much fun. A few of the other kids there are already walking, though they are like 11 months old. One day I will be walking then Nanuk better watch out cuz I will get her hehehe. I am working on crawling right now though I can't seem to get all my parts to work together, I get my arms up and my butt goes down and then I get my butt up and my head goes down then I roll over. Does anyone have any pointers on how to crawl? If you do let me know. I do move around a little though, I roll around and I move on my back, it drives daddy crazy cuz I never stay in the place he puts me hehehehe.
On Thursday we went to Ottawa to see aunt Trish and uncle Jon and my great grandma and great grandad. They are both great but so are my other grandmas and granddads so I am not sure why they are called great maybe I will call them all great cuz they are.
I has lots of fun playing and seeing them all and we had lunch there and uncle Sid was able to make it too though he was dressed in green, mommy says that daddy dresses the same but I have not seen it yet. I think it looks kinda funny.
After lunch we went to aunt Nicole's office so that they all could see it.
As you can see I have had a full week. Also this week I had time in my jolly jumper which I am getting real good at if I don't say so myself.
I also now have a new favorite food, pears. They are SOOOO good. It took a little to get use to them but now I love them and gobble them all up.

Well I guess I should go and get daddy now, we need to go to the store, he needs ideas for supper so he can have a good supper ready for mommy when she gets home from work.

Another exciting week

Well daddy is finally napping, he gets a little cranky when he gets tired and then does not want to go to sleep but he finally went down. Anyway, this week has been a fun one. Daddy and I went to our under one club, there are new babies that started last week, they are even smaller than I am, though not by much but they are younger than I am. All the mommies there always say how cute I am and how much I am growing, they all remember how small I was when I first went there. Daddy weighed me when we were there and I am now 12lbs 4oz ain't that good? There are a few babies there that are not able to go anymore cuz they are a year old but there are still some that I can learn how to crawl from. I am
Amazed at how they just zoom zoom zoom around the room. I am
Not that good yet but I do surprise daddy when I move off my play mat on my back, just yesterday daddy turned his head and I flipped onto my back turned around so my feet were facing the opposite direction than where daddy had them and then I moved so that I was about 2 feet off my mat( about one of my body lengths) daddy had no idea how I did it. When I am on my mat I have also learned how to pull it over and wrap my self up like a taco, that is lots of fun and just the other day I did it three times in a row in the time it took daddy to fix it then turn around, we both had a good laugh at that one and so did mommy.
Chip and I also had a good week. Every time I was in my excersaucer he would come over and let me pet him. Chip went to his furever home this week though, I am going to miss him, but mommy and daddy say that he was only here until he found an adoption family, and now that he has one he is happy and now we can get another puppy, so I guess if he is happy I am happy for him too.
On Thursday daddy took mommy ians me out for supper, that was real neat. They said I was there before but I don't remember. It was cool cuz they brought my big girl chair so I got to sit at the table with them in my own chair. I also got to eat more bananas, they are my favorite food though they are the only food I have tried so far. After supper we all went shopping. Mommy forgot my cuddly wrap so I got to ride in the baby seat attached to the cart, that was cool. It sits up higher than my normal car seat and I get to see solo much. Mommy said that they got more stuff for me than food for them. Hehehe. I got new bowls and spoons and other stuff. Mommy also got me a pear though she only got one so I am not too sure where the pare comes from. Isn't a pare two of something? Oh well I get to try that for supper tonight, I'll let you know how it is.

Tomorrow daddy and I are driving Andrew to meet his mommy aunt April. He has to go home cuz he starts school soon. It was nice having him around this summer, I know nanuk is going to miss him. I sure hope daddy remembers to pack everything for me,I will have to check before we leave tomorrow.
I have been having lots of fun in my jolly jumper, I can jump higher than ever now, daddy had to put it up another notch for me.
Wow is it that time already? Why didn't anyone say it was? I need to get daddy up so he can make supper for mommy, he better make it good.

Brooks August long weekend.

Hi everyone. Sorry it has been so long but I have been busy trying to keep daddy happy, boy oh boy is that a hard job. So let's see what has gone on since my last post?
Well my aunt Nicole came out for a night, that was fun. She was only here for one night though, cuz she had to work the next morning but it was fun seeing her.
On Saturday my aunt April ( or as I was calling her "aunt not the Teri" hehehe) came out to see me. She got here late cuz she hit a deer on her way here. It is a good thin that she drives a big truck. She was ok and so was the truck but not the deer. I guess the deer didn't look both ways before crossing the road, that is why mommy and daddy always say to look both ways and make sure that it is safe. Also to always cross at the cross walk. I know that there are deer crossings maybe it should have used one hehehe.
Any way aunt not the Teri, I mean April was fun to have around, she is so easy to keep happy, she tried to get me to giggle but I didn't hehehe ain't I a stinker? Oh wait that is my diaper I'll be right back I need daddy.....
I am back with no stinker, now where was I ? Oh yeah I think aunt April had fun here, we didn't do too much cuz mommy had to work and the weather was not the best bit we still had fun. She also brought her dogs Nikita and Serria. They are only small dogs but they are cute. Serria enjoyed playing with chip and Nanuk a little but Madison was not too playful though she did play a little. Nikita was a little unsure of being here, she had not been here since she was a puppy but she did try to play a little. She is frightened of the silliest things like the click from the thermostat just before the AC comes in. She would bark at nanuk and Madison too but mommy and daddy were always there to make sure Nanuk did not scrap and they said that Nanuk did very good all weekend.
On Monday mommy was off so we went to the campground and saw grandma and Paul. That was lots of fun. I have never been to a campground before it was awesome. Trees everywhere and then thee was also water where we could have gone swimming, but my favorite thing was the hiking trail. Mommy put me
In my cuddly wrap and we walked for like ever though it was more like a couple of hours. It was a real nice day.
Wriggly was there too. He is grandmas dog, he is real cute. He likes playing with Madison and Nanuk but we could not bring them with us. I also had fun laying on my blanket on the ground. Have you ever looked up at a tree? They are huge, I can't wait until I can climb all the way up to the tippy top.

Also this week the Olympics were on, mommy had daddy tape some for her while he was at work so daddy and I would watch it. I liked the gymnastics and I really liked the trampoline. I would sit with daddy and then start jumping. Now I know I want one but before I can get one I am going to practice in my jolly jumper, I can almost get as high as the trampoline I think, I jump SOOOO much but daddy said I can't do any flips:( that is no fair, so I make sure that he is not looking when I do them hehehe.

Daddy and I also went to my under one club this week, it was nice to see every one there, they are all getting bigger and they say the se about me. A lot of them are crawling around,
I can't do that yet but I am learning. Daddy also weighed me while we were there and guess what? I am 11lbs9oz only two pounds to go until I double my birth weight and a month and a bit to do it in, I am sure that I can do it.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, mommy gave me some real food ain't that just cool? I get to eat banana at supper now. It is good. I am not too sure about it when she first puts it into my mouth but I don't spit it out and eat it all up. I can't wait until mommy gives me something else to try. When she does I will let you know what it is and if it is good or not. I do like bananas though I guess that is why daddy calls me a little monkey hehehe.
Well I should go and get daddy, I think I have a wet diaper and he needs to get supper ready and feed the dogs, Madison just hit all the dog bowls in the kitchen.

The fair. By Brooke.

Hey there everyone. Guess what? Come on guess... Why are you not guessing? Just a small guess? ARE YOU EVEN TRYING???

Fine then I'll tell you, I GOT TO GO TO THE FAIR THIS WEEKEND!!!! And not just once but a lot of times. Hehehe.
My mommy and daddy took me on Friday night when mommy got home from work. They both had something called back bacon on a bun. It looked real yummy. They both liked it and seeing as I was in my cuddly wrap mommy tried to share hers with me but it was ok it was funny.
Have you ever been to a fair? It is soooo much fun. There was a lot of people around, they would stop us and say how cute I am then I would smile just to show them how cute I am. Hehe, grown ups are so easy to get to smile.
There are also a lot of things that are called rides. They look like fun, I can't wait until I get bigger and get to go on them, though mommy says I need to go with daddy because she will not go on the spinning rides. And there is music playing every where and when it gets dark all the rides have bright flashing lights, I really liked watching those.
Also on Friday night was something called a demolition derby. That was real cool to watch. I was confused when daddy tried to tell me what one was but after I saw it it looked like a lot of fun, all the loud cars going VROOM, VROOM. SMASH,CRASH,BANG. I stayed awake to watch it all, well most of it, it took too long to put new cars in after they crashed them all. But all in all it was fun.
On Saturday daddy took Chip and me
to the fair, it was funny, chip would only walk a short distance then he would lay down. At on point he ladies down beside the pop corn/cotton candy stand,it took daddy like five minutes to get him to move and then it was only the ten feet to the merry go round where he laid down again and would not move. It was funny watching daddy try to get chip to move. Did you know that a merry go round has ponies on it? And they go round and round? And up and down? And you can ride them?? It looks like so much fun. But they are not real ponies though but they do look nice. I didn't get to ride them this year cuz mommy and daddy said I was too small but I get to go on them next year, I can't wait. After that daddy and I took chip home but on the way we stopped and saw the ponies, not the pretend ones on the merry go round but real ones. They had the cutest one there, it was the size of Madison. It came up to the fence and looked at me, it's head was SOOOO big. But I was not scared I smiled at

When mommy got home from work we all took Madison over to the fair. Mommy put me in my cuddly wrap and daddy brought Madison on her leash. Madison was not being a very good doggie though, she was pulling everywhere trying to smell all the smells on the ground and trying to get some chicken wings that has fallen there. We only walked around once then we brought Madison home and got Nanuk. Nanuk was much better on leash but as Madison was pulling for all the smells and food on the ground and ignoring the people, Nanuk was ignoring all the smells and food on the ground and pulling to meet all the people. It was funny seeing all the people come over and say how cute nanuk is then they would say how cute I am. I don't know who got more compliments, me or Nanuk but I do know that I got more over the weekend hehehe.

On Sunday my uncle John and aunt
Trish came over with Erin and Amy. It was fun to see them as I have not seen them since I was just a little baby.
We went to the fair with them, that was fun, my mommy and daddy even went on the bumper cars with them. That was funny to see because they all drive around and hit each other. It is like a demolition derby except the cars don't get dented when they hit. My daddy is so good at driving them, Andrew could
barely hit him and daddy just drive circles around him. It was fun to watch.
As you can see I had a busy weekend, I am tired now but I am finally getting back on schedule. Which is good because next weekend my aunt April is coming out to see me, I don't k ow what we are going to do but I am sure it will be fun. I'll let you know what we do in the next blog.

Brooke's first doctors appointment without mommy

Well today Brooke had her 4 month doctor appointment. Mommy was not able to go, she had to work today, so I got to take her myself. Brooke did awesome until the nurse gave her the second needle, she didn't like that one too much. She started crying with that one so the doctor didn't look at too much, but she did say that Brooke is doing great. She said she was surprised at how much she has grown since her last appointment a couple of weeks ago. Brooke is now 10lbs 10oz and is 25 inches. I knew she has been growing like a weed.
Even though she cried she did great and after I calmed her enough to put her in her car seat she ended up falling asleep on the two minute drive home and had a half hour nap before her bottle. Now that she is finished that I think there is another nap in her future. If she is feeling up to it later she will get some tummy time and I will give her another crawling lesson, but don't tell Jen Brooke and I are going to surprise her, once we figure it out that is. But Brooke says that I am getting better at the crawling thing and after seeing all the other babies at her ply group moving around she figures it can not be too hard. I will keep you all posted on how the lessons are going.

Brooke's adventures

Hi again, daddy is having a nap so I figured I would give you all an update.
The last while here has been fun, we have the cutest foster puppy. His name is chip and he is only 11 weeks old. Can you believe that? He is younger than me. But he can run around ad I can't. But that is ok cuz he plays with me sometimes. Daddy says he is very well behaved because daddy only had to tell him once to be careful of me and now he is.
My aunt Teri and uncle Kristof came to visit me this weekend. That was a lot of fun. They took me to Ottawa where me met up with aunt Nicole and uncle Sid. Daddy did not come though, he stayed home and did some work on his truck that it needed. I got to see a lot of things when I was in Ottawa, we went to a market where there was a lot of people, there was soooo much going on that I did not even have a nap, though as soon as we left I went to sleep.
We also picked up my new bassinet when we were there. Mommy decided I needed a new one cuz I was too big for my old one, my feet touched one end and my head touched the other., she said that was ok though cuz it means that I am growing.
Aunt Teri also brought me a new toy with her, mommy calls it an excersaucer but I just call it fun! I can sit in it and there is a table for my toys and it also bounces and I can go around in circles!!! Ain't that cool? It is my new favorite thing to do.
Mommy said that when I start eating real food I can eat it in there hehe , I know what I am going to do, I'll feed Madison and Nanuk lol.
Mommy and daddy said that this weekend is the fair in town. I don't knowwhat that is but it sounds like fun, I'll let you know what it is like. My aunt and uncle are coming here on Sunday and my mommy is off work on Sunday and Monday, just that sounds like fun. Mommy only gets one day off at a time usually so I don't know what we are going to do for two days.

Today is also Tuesday so that means under one club is today, I wonder what everyone there has been up to? It will be fun to see them again I didn't get to go last week cuz daddy's hand was hurting him and he couldn't drive, it was hard for him to just make my bottle. I felt sorry for him so I took it easy on him and didn't fuss too much, and it was funny to watch when he would move it the wrong way, I think daddy likes sugar, fudge and fire trucks a lot because every time he would hurt it he kept saying that Lol.
Oh well I guess I should go and get ready then get daddy ready so we can go to my group. Maybe if daddy is tired I'll let him sleep on the way there and I'll drive again.

Well I am sorry it has been so long, I couldn't find my phone after Nanuk used it.
Let's
See, what's been going on here? Brooke and I went to the under one club on Tuesday. She had a blast watching all the other babies. When ever we go out now Brooke like to just sit there and watch what is going on. I thought she would need to eat o. The way home from the club, and I still had to do some shopping. She cried for a minute then fell asleep. She woke up again when I got to Canadian tire nd stayed awake the hole time there and at Walmart, with out crying. She did cry on the way home but it was two hours late for her feeding. I think that until it got boring she just didn't care.

Brooke also had a doctors appointment this week. It was just to get her weight. It has been a while since she was there and I am proud to say that she has broken the double digits with her weight, she now weighs a whopping 10 lbs. hehe, she is growing like a weed. She is I guess you would say long. I have already had to raise the jolly jumper a couple of times.
She is also moving around a bit. She isn't crawling yet, but when she is on her mat she spins herself around and ends up moving her self off of it. She is also starting to grab at some things and is going to giggle any day now.

Well Brooke is awake now and should want to eat soon.

Hi there again. If you have not guessed this is Nanuk.
Did you all know I have the bestest baby around? Well I do:) she lets me lick her foot and does not even cry. Once in a while I will steal kiss on the head, my mommy gets a little mad at me when I do cuz she says I give her a cow lick, how funny is that? Doesn't mommy know I am a dog and not a cow? It should be a dog lick or a Nanuk lick. My mommy is funny, you would think she would know the difference between a cow and a dog especially such a gorgeous dogg like my self ;)
Oh I didn't tell you, we have my cousin Andrew staying with us for the summer. He is so much fun to have around. He plays with me in the yard and some times I let him catch me but don't tell him I said that, he thinks he can catch me on his own but I am FAST FAST FAST!!!! Even Madison plays with us some times. I like to talk to him when we play but my mommy and daddy remind me to settle down a little if I start to get too excited which I have not been doing too much.
Yesterday we all went to the beach trail. It is not like the normal trail that we usually go to, this one has WATER on it!!!! If you don't know I love to play in the water. Some of the water went away though but there was still some that I got to play in while we were walking the trail. The trail is long but when we get to the end this one has a beach. How cool is that? Do you have any idea how much fun a beach is?!!! And the best part is Andrew came in the water with me and so did daddy and when Brooke had some food mommy and her came in too. Even Madison came in more that she normally does. Madison and I also had a wrestling match in the shallow water. A small
Word of advise when wrestling in the water don't let your self get put on your back, but I still had fun. After we all played in the water Madison and I went for a small tour around the beach while everyone else had a snack. When we got home Madison and I were both tired and slept. After supper we got bones to eat yesterday was a great day and can't wait untill we get to go again. But I need a rest first.

Hi everyone

Hi, it is me Brooke again. My daddy is having a nap so I figured I would say hi. I have has a busy couple of days, this Canada day weekend thing is fun, maybe we should have more of them.
On Saturday after mommy got back from work my parents took me to see something called fireworks. ( I don't know why they are called this, they didn't do any work ;) I think a better name would be bright flashy lights in the sky at night with booms. On second thought that may be too long). Before we went my mommy was worried that I might be scared of them, but I wasn't cuz I am a big girl. I really liked them and watched them until I got tired and fell asleep. Why do they have to have them so late?
On Sunday I went to the park with daddy and Andrew. There was some Canada day activities going on so I told daddy to take me. I was fun walking around seeing all the people and things. They had a petting zoo with sheep and goats. They were cute like me:) but the cutest ones were the baby sheep. I didn't get to feed them though but my daddy got them to come close so I could see them. I also got to sit in a pony. It was HUGE it was even bigger than Madison and Nanuk bit not as fluffy as Nanuk. I liked the pony a lot. ( I wonder if I could get one when I get older).
On Monday my mommy didn't have to go to work. I like those days. Mommy decided to take Madison and Nanuk to the trail so we all went. We didn't go to the normal trail though we went to the trail that has what mommy called a beach, what ever that is. All I know is that the trail went on for ever but it ended at a sandy area with lots of sun and water. Madison and Nanuk had lots of fun running down the trail and playing in the water. Nanuk swam with Andrew and daddy, Madison went in but not too deep though mommy said that she went in further than she ever has. Madison is funny to watch in the water, she hops through it like a bunny but she is a dog. Nanuk loves the water and likes to swim though and swims like a fish. I can't wait until I get older and learn how to swim so I can swim with her. Nanuk and Andrew swam real far out but daddy said it was ok because the water was not deep and most of the time Nanuk was walking. When we came home we were all tired. Madison and Nanuk are still tired.
Today is my under one club. I like going there and watching all the other baby's. I better get my daddy ready to go. He needs to get me a bottle so I can have it before we go. Well I should go and wake him up now. I hope everyone had a good long weekend like I did. :)

Sorry it has been a while since the last post, Brooke has been keeping me busy.
Since the last one we have done a lot. Brooke and I finally made it to the under one club. She enjoyed it, seeing all the other babies, she spent most of the time just watching them.
Brooke also turned 3 months!!! Can you believe it? Where did the time go? Last week Jen took Brooke to her mom's house. Everyone enjoyed seeing her, she got to see her aunts April, Nicole, and Teri as well as her Grandma and Great grand parents, Jen told me that for the two days that they were there she only got to see Brooke when Brooke was eating lol. That was the first time in three months that I was not around Brooke. I didn't know what to do, I did some work in the garage and cleaned the house but I still missed her and I think the dogs did too. I was going to go but the dogs were sick and I would have had to take both of them and Brooke by my self in the car, it would have not been too bad but I would have had to take the dogs out of the car when I stopped to feed Brooke. If you don't know my dogs Nanuk is quite in the car but Madison takes a while to settle down and when the car stops she wants to get out and starts barking. Jen was going to take Madison to work with her but because Madison to work but because she was sick she couldn't. So I stayed at home with the dogs.

Brooke has also started going in her jolly jumper which she seems to like. At first she didn't know what to do in it but now bounces a little when she is not staring at the fish tank. She likes watching the fish in the big tank when she is sitting at the kitchen table and the smaller tank when she is in the jolly jumper. She also gets her tummy time but not for long, the longest she has stayed on her tummy was about 2 minutes before she rolls her self over it is kinda funny to watch because she will start to go over then flip over fast , the one time I put her down I no sooner let go of her when she flipped over with a big grin.

Well I should go now, she is going to want to eat soon. I will try not to Waite so long between the next post.

Where has the time gone? It is hard to believe that Brooke will be 3 months old in a few days, seems like just yesterday I was taking Jen to the hospital.

Yesterday was a fun day, Brooke and I went to the posting party that my work was having. It was good to see everyone again. Brooke liked it too and everyone liked seeing her, everyone made comments on how small she is.

Now that Brooke is getting bigger Jen and I put her in her jolly jumper. It was interesting watching her. She is not too sure what to do in it yet but she is starting to get the hang of it. She was more interested in the picture of a baby on the diaper box though.
Madison was not too sure of Brooke in the jolly jumper. She went over to give Brooke a sniff and when her nose touched her Brooke spun around, needless to say Madison jumped back and would not go too close to it after.
Nanuk on the other hand got excited. I think she was real happy that Brooke was at her height. Nanuk had to be reminded a few times to leave her alone and she did finally settle down and just laid down beside her but got excited again when I took Brooke out of it.
We have a couple of videos that I will put up when I figure out how.

On Thursday Brooke had a fun time
Helping Jen in the garage. Brooke was just sitting in her chair playing with her ball. She would not even flinch when
Jen was using the saw. I hope that she likes working out there when she gets older and likes helping her mom and
dad.

Sorry for the time laps

Well another week has come and gone. Last Thursday when Jen was off Jen started making new planters. When Brooke was awake she was out with us I would say helping but she was there more for moral support. I kinda think Brooke likes it in the garage. For the remainder of the week Brooke and I did not do too much. Brooks nap cycle has changed and it is taking me some time to get used to it. When ever I try to do something she tends to wake up and wants me around, I can't blame her I am awesome lol. Yesterday when Jen was off Brooke had an appointment with a pediatrician. Her normal doctor just wanted to make sure that she is healthy and she didn't miss any thing. No worries there, the doc said that Brooke is healthy and very alert though Jen and I could have told her that Brooke is just small like her parents.
After the appointment we met Nicole and had some lunch then came home When Brooke was having a nap Jen and I went out to the garage and cleaned it up and Brooke came out after a while to help too.
As you can see not too much is happening.
Brooke has found het thumb / hand and at times would prefer them to the pacifier. She watches the moving pictures on the tv and likes looking at the trees on the walks, when she is not crying.
Nanuk still gives her kisses but is getting much better at keeping it to just one, and Brooke seems to like it as she will smile after the kisses.
Madison is getting used to Brooke and she will now go up to her and sniff her and some times touch her foot with her nose and once or twice even gave her a kiss. One thing that Madison does like to do is when you bring Brooke out side Madison gets all playful and starts jumping around. This morning before I took the dogs for a walk Jen got Madison howling which got nanuk howling and Brooke smiling at them. Can't wait until she starts laughing. Hard to believe that Brooke will be 3 months next week.
I hope to get more pictures up and I will try to do this blog more than once a week.

Another week

Well another week or so has gone by. I am starting to loose track of what day it is. Jen has Mondays and Thursdays off so I never know what day it is except for those days.
Brooke is doing good. She is a happy baby and likes to give smiles. She is growing and noticing a lot more things now.
This past Monday when Jen was off we decided to put the dogs in camp and went to the city to meet up with Nicole and Sid for the day. We did a little shopping, Jen wanted to get some new running shoes so we went to MEC and walked around Ikea. I also decided to try my hand at a new craft so I wanted to go to fabric land to get some supplies. Needless to say after having breakfast and lunch in the city and shopping the time flew by. All in all it was a good day and when we picked the dogs up from camp we found out that they had a good day too with no issues. ( Nanuk can sometimes get a little bi#*%y with the other dogs thinking that she is the boss) but they were both good and played.

Yesterday Brooke and I were going to go to the under one club after we went shopping for some more supplies that I needed. But thanks to traffic and construction detours in town we did not make it there before she got tired and hungry.

Incase you are wondering what I needed to get at fabric land I have decided to try my hand at making puppets. The first one I have is so so I need to work on the mouth though but it looks good. I hope Brooke likes it.
